Malik B. El-Amin

Malik began his artistic journey as an actor and has appeared in commercials and television and numerous plays at regional theaters including Indiana Repertory Theatre, Penumbra Theatre, Colorado Shakespeare Festival, Commonwealth Shakespeare Festival, Ensemble Theatre of Cincinnati, and Organic Theatre Company, among others. His theatre directing credits include A WOMAN CALLED TRUTH, and Griot Theatre's JULIUS CAESAR and VOICES.
Malik holds a BS in Industrial Engineering from the University of Oklahoma, an MFA in Theatre Arts from Brandeis University and an M.B.A. in Nonprofit Management from American Jewish University. He is also a certified actor/combatant with the Society of American Fight Directors and a member of Actors Equity Association (AEA) and the Screen Actors Guild (SAG-AFTRA).
When not conspiring to commit theatre, Malik volunteers with the Los Angeles chapter of the Hearing Loss Association of America, is a regular blood donor with American Red Cross, and works as Senior Manager at Farmers Insurance, where he holds the designation of Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute. Malik is a member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc.
